Owen is one the heads behind shadowy DJ/gig promoters Canton Space Project, and recently took over booking bands at the newly resurgent Tafod. He currently sports a good beard.

Seem to have spent most of the year listening to vintage dub and late 60s psych; however i have enjoyed the following new albums:
Spiritualized – Songs in A and E (best thing they’ve done since Ladies and Gentlemen…)
The Aliens – Luna (cosmic!)
Adem – Takes (lovely)
Live music highlights of 2008:
Greenman in general, but especially Spiritualized, Iron and Wine and Caribou.
Dogshow – amazing: Victorian circus music crossed with electro, with a man in crash helmet waving strobes and a projector around – saw them at Glade festival, then got them down to Cardiff in October.
Efterklang at the Point – seems like a long time ago, but it was this year I think: multi-layered, uplifting psych pop and electronica.
What else did you enjoy?:
Getting up around noon most days.
Yellow stickered ‘reduced to clear’ custard tarts.
Uber underground, psychedelic dub folk outfit Yankee Backwash.
