John has many fingers in many pies, co-organising Sŵn with Huw Stephens, helping to bring Sleeveface to the masses, plus involvement with Forecast and Plug Two, amongst others. Someone needs to knobble him at Scrabble too.

Recorded music highlights of 2008:
Three Trapped Tigers – Untitled EP
Golden Silvers ‘Arrows Of Eros’ single
Times New Viking ‘Stay Awake EP’
Truckers Of Husk ‘Physical Education EP’
Fredrick Stanley Star ‘Heaviside Layer’
Sweet Baboo – the album
Florence And The Machine ‘The Dog Days Are Over’
Let’s Wrestle ‘I Won’t Lie To You’
Friendly Fires ‘Friendly Fires’ LP
That fucking Fleet Foxes album which I do like but it’s also infuriatingly ‘pleasant’ and therefore annoying.

Live music highlights of 2008:

My Bloody Valentine, Manchester. To put another gig here and begin to create a list just wouldn’t do this gig justice. It was unbelievable. The most phenomenal live experience ever.

2008 was…
The year I had to fly back from Spain two days before Primavera.

2009…
Is to be the most exciting year of life yet.
