EDIT – okay, GO AWAY VOLCANIC ASH GIG DISRUPTION. Those Tigers are trapped (ho ho) in Chile or something, and not playing Cardiff. Are they playing Bristol? No idea. BUT, excitingly, now supporting Talons in Cardiff will be Jemma Roper, of the tiptop bands Heck and Sammo Hung. This is exciting.

Fun times for the frugal and discerning music fan. Two cheap chances to see some wizard noisemakers here as Three Trapped Tigers continue their path of mixing snazzy beats, stabs of high-pitched guitar and clanged-out keyboard noise at very high volume. They’re all sharp edges and razored proficiency; see what our man Keef thought of them here. Head to Bristol for an even more beat-filled night, while Cardiff offers weighty math riffs from Talons (their last capital appearance reviewed here) plus brown acid DJ heroes Dig! afterwards, for knackered frugging.

SWN and DIG! present

THREE TRAPPED TIGERS
TALONS

Cardiff Arts Institute
Park Place, Cardiff
Friday 23rd April
8.00pm-3.00am
Talons onstage 9.00pm / TTT onstage 10.00pm / Dig! DJs until close.
Entry £3/£2 on the door only.

After the immense post-SWN blowout DIMSWN last October, Dig! and SWN reunite for a night of two halves. First up live performances from THREE TRAPPED TIGERS and TALONS both of whom came and destroyed SWN Festival 2009. Then once the bands are done the DIG! DJs take to the decks for a rollicking four hour sesh of good-time bad-time heavy psych-drenched 45s.

If you miss this then you’re a moron.
