It’s very sad, a bit too revealing, that the first thought that came into my mind upon spying this great-looking gig was “Hey, you get a free CD!” You do if you buy a weekend ticket anyway: here’s two nights of Bristolian decency in a way-too-loveable building. Aside from the record stall, clothes swaps, DJs and film projections, some firmly recommended musical fare: the weird lushness of the Fauns, fine Beefheartian thump of the Liftmen, SJ Esau’s Anticon oddness, the total rock devastation of Big Naturals. And Men Diamler’s appearance lets me use my “Brian Blessed singing murder ballads” line again. All this, and quite literally some more too (cat not included).

Bring along up to 5 items of good quality, clean items of clothing that you would be proud to hand on. For each item accepted the participant pays 50p and recieves a token. At 7.00pm all the items are sorted the participants get a chance to look through and chose new items in exchange for their tokens. At 8.30pm the swap closes and any remaining clothes will go to charity. Get there early to avoid disapointment.
