Being a totally subjective pick of the next few month’s offerings at my fave boaty venue, the Thekla. It’s subjective, so no Jamie T. Actually, that’s objective. Anyway, look at this lot. Particularly excited about: Cornershop (new single ‘The Roll Off Characteristics (Of History In The Making)’ is wonky, shambling and killer. I love them); Thermals (endless buzzsaws of goodness); Pictish Trail (who nag my brain’s ‘Heard One Lovely Country Folk Song By Them On The Radio And Want To Check Them Out section); and Bill Callahan! Smog’s wonderman of drollery. Plus Catrin-from-Cardiff’s-Clwb-Ifor-Bach’s recommended newcomers Sparrow & The Workshop.

Lovely Thekla stuff. Tickets from: http://www.theklabristol.co.uk/gigs.html Woo!
