SoyDo you want another great gig from Loose? Well Liz and Ryan have organised about a zillion for you (www.loosecardiff.com will sort you out) and this one is merely the next YOU SHOULD GO TO. It is going to be very quiet and beautiful, and if you talk through it you deserve to be stabbed with a pitchfork. Soy Un Caballo have the official seal of approval from me, having played this venue a while ago, conjuring a weird hypnotic loveliness thing. Their guitarist is stepping in to be first support in place of V.O. so be early. Middle slots are for folky decency in various degrees of lushness from locals Gentle Good and Le B. Sit down for this if you must, but attend you should.

SOY UN CABALLO (‘I am a Horse’ in Spanish) are a Belgian duo who use vibraphones, rhodes and feature chanteuse Aurelie Muller.

Their debut album was produced by Sean O’Hagan of the High Llamas and mixed by/featuring Cardiff’s own Charlie Francis, with guest vocals from Will Oldham (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billie).

They released a limited edition gold vinyl 7″ split with Tunng in March, who cover Soy Un Caballo’s song ‘Robin’ on the a-side in English, with the band’s original version on the flip.

Their last single was split with This Is the Kit, covering her song ‘Birchwood Beaker’.

“haunting arrangements and enigmatic vocals..pure music bliss” – SoundsXP

“blending mellow indie rock and breezy bossa nova with a taste for impressively baroque arrangements” – Dusted Magazine
