The launch of the annual Love Music Hate Racism event took place in Newport’s Westgate Square on last Sunday. This event will be held at Tjs On Saturday 16 May. There’s a very limited CD for the first 100 purchased tickets from Diverse, Rockaway , In Exile , Spillers and we got tickets.com.
TJ’s will host the gig, the wild child of the historic Rock Against Racism events of the seventies and eighties. Some of the countries top bands will be there to give their support to the anti-fascist league and give everyone the opportunity to exercise open minds, and show how backward, puerile and out of date closed minds really are. Come along with fists in air and kick racism out of society with the best new music around.
Following in the footsteps of the Clash, Billy Bragg, X-Ray Specs and The Ruts, will be welsh punk energizers The Stilletoes, popular indie band, The Clay, and thrash punk super band, The Bad Samaritans. Also playing will be Lil’ Deaths, Blue Gillespie, New State Radio, Rogora Khart, The Me Me Me’s, Loci, The Spiral, Hobgoblin, Dun 2 Def, Crypt of Adonis, 100 Canons and more. There will also be DJ sets, stalls and a general atmosphere of righteousness.
