I assume you can keep a secret. But… I’m not a big fan of the Victorian English Gentleman’s Club. Admittedly this is based on one live performance four years ago and the odd accidental listen of ‘Ban The Gin’ now and again but hey. I’m willing to be converted. The main reason this flashy preview is that the latest addition to the bill is The Stacking Chairs. And they would be a collaboration between Louise from VEG Club and Cardiff-based oddball
Casey Raymond. You may know Raymond from his co-direction of videos for Cate Le Bon, Future Of The Left and so bloody on. Then there’s the gig posters, the Club Foot Foot film night, record sleeves and nice glasses. He also makes ‘music’ and ‘artwork’. Basically, he is a total fucking diamond and creative news from his direction is like shining the bat signal into my retinas. I’ll stop now.
