I’ve pretty much had it with men. My head burns up thinking about Best Coast, the Vivian Girls, Golden Disko Ship, Partyline and… Brilliant Colors. There’s just something classier and fucking better about women shouting out rock (and usually less guitar solos too) and in Brilliant Colors you have one more example of double X supremacy. Everett True loves them and he’s got a column in Bust magazine and everything. Come here for clattering thrills and no-frills swoon rock, and come to dance.

Brilliant Colors / La La Vasquez

FLUX=RAD now happens every Tuesday Clwb Ifor Bach. We’ll be playing tunes from awesome new bands and hoping that you’ll love them as much as we do. They’ll also be great live acts we find exciting.

flux=rad presents…

BRILLIANT COLORS
(All-girl trio who play short, scratchy pop, with echos of The Slits and Vivian Girls, and releases through the Woodsist and Slumberland labels)

LA LA VASQUEZ
(Brighton girl-trio on Captured Tracks. They describe themselves as 3 Parts girl, 2 Parts beer, 1 Part Cider, and are probably right.)
