Holy shit. Have you actually seen ‘Fitzcarraldo’? Werner Herzog (who is mad) dragged a 300 ton steamboat over a mountain in the Andes to illustrate the tale of Brain Fitzgerald, a rubber baron trying to establish an opera house in the jungle. Fitzgerald played by Klaus Kinski, who is mad. Yeah, it’s good. The frankly awesome collection of musicians assembled below are going to have to go some to capture even a fifth of this madness. Good job they’re gathered from some of Bristol’s toppermost out-there rock bands then.
