This will be awesomely awesome – and in the best venue in Bristol too. Carla Bozulich is like some voice from the centre of the earth, full of life and mad power. Like being stabbed through the heart with an icicle but more fun. Come come come.

The grand Carla Bozulich is back to the Cube with her Evangelista band, touring her latest album: Constellation Records say: “With (the album) Prince Of Truth, Bozulich has shaped her Evangelista group into something more intense, more committed, more complex and more sonically and compositionally obsessive than ever. Conventional song structure is mostly absent – the pieces are built from an extremely diverse set of sound sources, taking shape through layers of accumulation and juxtaposition, foreground and background, sudden shifts, suspensions and dissolutions – and Carla’s commanding voice and brilliant lyrics.”

Come and witness.

“It’s going to take years to sort out the connections, projects, and ideas that Carla Bozulich has produced in her lengthy career—from armpit-hair wielding frontwoman of Geraldine Fibbers to Willie Nelson covering traditionalist (with stop-offs for performance art and industrial-punk along the way), Bozulich is following a muse that runs her ragged.” – Stylus
