Okay, there might be a teeny weather-based question mark hanging over this gig, what with ANT flying in from Sweden and The [Future] King Of Scotland travelling from, oh God, Scotland. Possible replacement troops are currently stuffing the bill. But let’s stay positive:  if this website exists for any reason it’s to support small scale musical endeavours and the fact that the sweet Bristol pokehole known as the Boathouse or the Scout Hut is being lovingly reanimated as a gig venue is another small reason to cheer. Next week, courtesy of the same generous promoter, sees an afternoon gig by 2010 surf heroes Y Niwl (more on that later), but this here event brings togther Antony Harding, serial collaborator and former owner of the drum stool in Hefner, ragged scuzzy guitarpop from The [Future] King Of Scotland, rather lovely, sideways winsomeness from Houdie And The Sea and, ooh, a trove more. Cold hands, warm heart and all that.

Antony ANT Harding, (ex Hefner) flies in from Stockholm to play a rare regional show. Cool support from Scotland’s lo-fi [Future] King and local talent Houdie And The Sea.
