Not exactly sure what the Gower capacity is but it’s gonna feel like your face is pressed against the wall whatever. Some great shades of heaviness here, headlined by a band so great last year the memory still gives involuntary boners. Diet Pills play scrappy and squalid sex offender rock, awkwardly great with equal measures of detuned squall and slow motion riff crawling. They sound like Racebannon dying in a tar pit and ROOL. Also demonstrably better than you are: Spider Kitten, capable of playing anything from caveman Sabbath to weighty crust metal; Atomçk, whose relentless grind attack redefines the words ‘queasy’ and, again, ‘boner’; and Smiler, who we gave a lukewarm review to once but are presumably better now.
