Merry Christmas one and all, and seasons greetings. By now you should have opened all of your prezzies, but we thought we’d leave the best till last.

Other than being a Joy Collective contributor, Owain knows what he’s doing with a video camera. During Swn, while everyone else was pissed in a corner of Dempseys trying to articulate exactly how good Cats in Paris were, he and Emma Daman of Victorian English Gentlemen’s club were trying to get some of Cardiff and Britain’s best bands in a white van to play acoustic. As you do.

Over the next few weeks we’ll post two or three to the site, but we’ll start with the Threatmantics, who have released their debut mini-album this year after signing to Domino’s offshoot Double Six. This performance of Don’t Care isn’t strictly acoustic – it features a toy piano – but Hedd’s voice and Ceri’s guitar skills stilll makes it the ramshackle merry-go-round we all know and lurve.
