Barely awake readers will have noticed we majorly dig this North Walian surf band, riding out 2010 on the back of some indestructable gigs and a fine debut album (reviewed <a href=\"http:\/\/jonnyjaniero.wpengine.com\/thejoycollective\/review\/y-niwl-y-niwl-aderyn-papur\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>). Haven&#8217;t seen them in a disused scout hut yet though, but the enterprising young promoter behind this and <a href=\"http:\/\/jonnyjaniero.wpengine.com\/thejoycollective\/preview\/ant-the-future-king-of-scotland-houdie-and-the-sea-vlad-sarah-class-boathouse-bristol-04-12-10\/\" target=\"_blank\">last week&#8217;s<\/a> waterfront shindig is working towards making these fun times happen. This will make an ideal pre-Godspeed You! Black Emperor afternoon treat: instrumental twangy goodness from Y Niwl, fey melodicisms from the Weary Band and hypnotic, woozy lo-fi (plus an ex-Electrelane member) from Houdie And The Sea.
