the JELAS – multivocal post-punk mayhem<\/p>\n
ELECTRIC ALICE – awkwardly wonderful folk<\/p>\n
PESTY MAWGANS – like two badgers jumping on top of their set after killing a human with a spade<\/p>\n
MARK DARKSIDE – ballads and storytelling from local troubadour<\/p>\n
MISS GARDINER – sumptuous bass noise<\/p>\n
the BUMBLEBEES – Songs so catchy it can be torture<\/p>\n
REN – Folk punk heroine<\/p>\n

FAG Club invite the queer community of Bristol to an all-day early Summer party to raise funds and awareness for Bristol Pride, due to take place in Bristol from 14-22 August, 2010.<\/p>\n
The event will be a Bristol album launch for much loved DIY heroine Lianne Hall who releases her new and anticipated album, Crossing Wires, on June 14th. Exclusive copies will be available at the FAG Club party. Be sure to not miss what John Peel described as one of \u2018the great English voices\u2019 perform some of the most exquisite music of her career to date.<\/p>\n
Also performing at FAG Club that day we have the cream of the local queer and women\u2019s music scene in Bristol and the South West. There will be a handful of solo performers including the enigmatic Mark Darkside, sumptuous bass noise from Bath\u2019s Miss. Gardiner and a FAG Club debut for the endlessly talented Electric Alice.<\/p>\n
There will be music from the irresistible Jelas and the Pesty Mawgans who claim they sound \u2018like two badgers jumping on top of their set after killing a human with a spade\u2019. Something for everyone and never a dull moment is promised. More acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks so be sure to pop down throughout the day for a friendly and relaxed Sunday with tea, cake and music courtesy of FAG Club, the friends you are yet to meet.<\/p>\n
