Ahh, look at their little faces.\u00a0 Surfer Blood, right,\u00a0have this amazing song, and they’re probably sick of reviews that say so.\u00a0 Serves them right for writing what is, let me stress, a really amazing song.\u00a0 It’s called ‘Swim’, it’s on their (perfectly fine) album ‘Astro Coast’, and it sounds like Weezer covering Boston’s ‘More Than A Feeling’ on the top of a mountain.\u00a0 Except it’s about eight times better than even that sounds.\u00a0 Hey, let’s hope they play it on Thursday!\u00a0 Clwb should be pretty rammed for this, and not just because Surfer Blood have worked up a tidy bit of press.\u00a0 There’s a first Cardiff show for London’s Male Bonding, strutting about with the brash confidence of a band just signed to Sub Pop (they have), with an armful of snotty, mush-mouthed punk ditties reminiscent of Lovvers and\u00a0Abe Vigoda\u00a0(they do, kinda) and a debut album out next week (it’s called Nothing Hurts).\u00a0 Finally, Man Without Country – tipped for greatness just this week by our own Vivers, so watch them split up onstage in a fit of agitated pique – open up, fresh from launching the Barely Regal label sampler and aired on the Lauren Laverne show to boot.<\/p>\n

What can we say? flux=rad have taken a one-off jump from their Tuesday residency at Cardiff Arts Institute to hook up with SWN to bring Cardiff the first show from SURFER BLOOD.
