They also claim Earth and Tristeza influences, and their myspace tracks sound far more swirly than anything the Glaswegians produced. Certainly worth seeing.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting them are local chaps <span class=\"nametext\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/thinkingwithsand\">thinking with sand<\/a> (capitals correct). Trite comparison time &#8211; they probably sound a bit like 65daysofstatic if they suddenly fell in love with early 90s shoegaze, making us of drum machines in addition to the usual shimmering guitars and revurb. I&#8217;m really trying hard to leave My Bloody Valentine comparisons at the door, I am&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And just for those who didn&#8217;t think <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/circaregnatonat\">Circa Regna Tonat&#8217;s<\/a> assault on Meze was quite enough last Thursday, introducing them all are metal-dirgers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/sporeisevil\">Spore<\/a>, also of Derby. In myspace terms this lot are very, very new &#8211; boasting, ooh, 20 friends. According to the jam&#8217;s they&#8217;ve posted, they make sonics likely to scrape the hair off your scalp.
