The Swinging Stylers<\/strong><\/a>
\nFormed in Newport in late 2008 The Swinging Stylers come from reminants of many other newport Punk, indie and metal bands with a Street performer as they’re front man. There sound has been compared to that of the Dead Kennedys and poison idea with a little bit of sublime and even System of A down thrown in there. They are a voice for a let down and dissatisfied Newport, and a voice for the desperately bored working man whose only comfort resides in drugs drink and sexual depravity. They are not clean cut youngsters pumping out the tired floppy haired nonsense which is plagueing myspace, venues and rock charts. They are force to be reckoned with! Take heed music fans the stylers are here!<\/p>\n

The Odyssey XP<\/strong><\/a>
\nThe Odyssey XP formed in\u00a0 march 2008, influences including such bands as incubus\/massive attack\/Portishead, with their new style of both traditional rock and new rave, combined with beats, creates a complete experience.
\nThis is there first gig in The Port since Jan 09 so be there1<\/p>\n

\nIn league with each other since 1998, Donnie Clarko and Pun Ra have fought both individually and side by side to oppose all that bow down to a modern day popular musical scene.
\nGrowing tired of the generic, carbon copy, ever increasing industry produced shambles, they\u2019ve decided to put their eclectic tastes together for the first time ever both in the studio and live!
