Howl Griff \/ Meilir Tomos \/ Golden Fable \/ HEHFU \/ No Thee No Ess \/ Derrero + more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jonnyjaniero.wpengine.com\/thejoycollective\/events\/swigen-festival-feat-meilir-tomos-golden-fable-hehfu-georgia-ruth-no-thee-no-ess-derrero-more\/attachment\/swigencompositelogobgsmall\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13477\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13477\" title=\"swigencompositelogobgsmall\" src=\"http:\/\/jonnyjaniero.wpengine.com\/thejoycollectivewp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/swigencompositelogobgsmall.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jonnyjaniero.com\/thejoycollective\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/swigencompositelogobgsmall.jpg 200w, https:\/\/jonnyjaniero.com\/thejoycollective\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/swigencompositelogobgsmall-50x50.jpg 50w, https:\/\/jonnyjaniero.com\/thejoycollective\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/swigencompositelogobgsmall-187x187.jpg 187w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The 22nd October 2011 sees the inaugural all-day live music event organised &amp; hosted by the Cardiff-based creative arts collective SWIGEN (South Wales Independent Gigs, Events &amp; Networking) \u2014 or, &#8216;Bubble&#8217; in Welsh.<\/p>\n<p>G\u0175yl SWIGEN Festival, in aid of Shelter Cymru &amp; Oxjam Cardiff, will take place in the beautiful Grade II listed Ebenezer Chapel, situated on Charles Street, in the heart of Cardiff (info &amp; map), &amp; will feature 18 Welsh or Wales-based artists\/bands performing on 2 stages.<\/p>\n<p>The line up includes main organiser North Walian born singer songwriter Meilir Tomos( <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/meilirmusic\">http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/meilirmusic<\/a> ), who recently returned from three shows at Green Man festival; newly formed North Wales-based Golden Fable (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.goldenfable.com\/\">http:\/\/www.goldenfable.com\/<\/a>) (Tim and Sam&#8217;s Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam offshoot), who will play one of their first full band shows; Cardiff&#8217;s No Thee No Ess (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/notheenoess\">http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/notheenoess<\/a>) featuring &amp; North Walian Pulco (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pulco.bandcamp.com\/\">http:\/\/www.pulco.bandcamp.com<\/a>) , while also playing their own seperate sets, will join forces &amp; reunite Andy Fung &amp; Ash Cooke to perform some songs from their previous band Derrero &#8211; marking the first time they have performed together since Derrero split 10 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, local noise pop blog favourites HEHFU (<a href=\"http:\/\/hehfu.bandcamp.com\/\">http:\/\/hehfu.bandcamp.com\/<\/a>) will be playing their debut gig at the festival alongside a cast of emerging and established talents from right accross Wales, plus a sprinkling of those that aren&#8217;t.
