THE ASH AND THE OAK<\/p>\n

Our favourite Welsh band for several years now, it\u2019s about time we offered these fine purveyors of melancholy folky brilliance a well deserved headline show.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Gathered In Song regulars should already be familiar with the band, but with their second album nearing completion hopefully this gig will provide some new songs to fall in love with. If you don\u2019t know them, but like the music of Fleet Foxes, Elliott Smith or Vetiver, then quite frankly you\u2019re in for a treat.<\/p>\n

CHAILO SIM<\/p>\n

Chailo Sim\u2019s debut album has seen them garnering widespread attention, receiving significant airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music over the last couple months from the likes of Huw Stephens, Jen Long, Tom Robinson and others. The band also completed a fantastic session for Bethan Elfyn\u2019s show on Radio Wales.<\/p>\n
