Connor is from the mysterious lands outside of Newport. He resided in Cardiff for a bit whilst working in every bar possible and then legged it to Taffs Well. He bar managed Gwdihw, was assistant manager in Urban Tap House and did shifts everywhere else while running a label and putting on gigs in his spare time. He has yet to work as a Guy Pearce lookalike.
Connor programmes events such as Chapter Live, a monthly roots night that takes place in Cardiff’s most popular arts centre and also reps gigs, primarily for MJR which sees him look after bands in venues such as The Globe and Tramshed.
JLC the label has put out albums by Kutosis, The Echo & The Always and Right Hand Left Hand. It’s managed both Kutosis and Samoans and put on gigs by bands such as Catfish & The Bottlemen, Rolo Tomassi, Neck Deep, Johnny Foreigner, Fight Like Apes, Dads and Freeze The Atlantic.
Along with a friend and DJ, Connor has brought back popular indie night Propaganda back to Cardiff. It relaunched in Clwb Ifor Bach in January 2017 and is going from strength to strength.
Connor fits all his extracurricular activities around working shifts in Cardiff’s premier rehearsal rooms. It helps pay the bills and is handy for support act research!
